Campy Party :: POSTPONED

Posted September 29th, 2010 in Events | No Comments

Well, campers, we have some bad news. Due to inclement weather (read: gale force winds and flood warnings) we are rescheduling tomorrow’s Campy Party for NEXT THURSDAY, October 7 from 5:30 – 8:30 pm.

While camping in the rain can be a lot of fun for some, it’s not so fun for others. So, we hope that those of you who were planning on coming still can, and those of you who had previous engagements can make it next week instead.

Please share the news with any friends who might have been planning to attend. We look forward to seeing you all next Thursday.

Before & After :: New England Emporium Eatery & Marketplace

Posted September 29th, 2010 in Before and After | No Comments

The New England Emporium Eatery & Marketplace is a unique new restaurant and shop located in Main Street Market in downtown Middletown, CT. They came to us with an existing logo that wasn’t completely finished yet. Many of the ingredients and fresh, local and the recipes are “homegrown”, like your grandma’s homemade jam. The marketplace contains over 200 products found only in New England. It was important for the logo to reflect the old world style of some of the antique display cases, but also remain hip to appeal to the student population at Wesleyan University. We’re very pleased with the result, and proud to see our logo on everything from coffee collars to signage!

Picture of the Week :: Taste Testing Cupcakes

Posted September 24th, 2010 in Inspiration | 1 Comment

You all know that at Elements, we love to eat. We love to eat a lot. We love to eat a lot of cake. We love to eat a lot of cupcakes. We love to eat a lot of chocolate cupcakes. We love to eat a lot of chocolate cupcakes that taste JUST like s’mores! And if you do, too, then come on over to our campy party on Thursday, September 30 between 5:30 and 8:30 pm and there will be a s’mores cupcake from Little Monster Cakes with your name on it. Plus, you’ll get a peek at our new studio. (Come early – we know they’ll go fast!)

Psst: You’d never know the little bonus that they’re wheat free, dairy free, vegan, mostly organic and calorie free. Well, just kidding about that last one, but a girl can dream! Check out our friends Anthony and Lourdes at Little Monster Cakes and on Facebook – you WON’T regret it.

3 Questions :: for our client, Bonnie McEneaney, author of Messages

Posted September 23rd, 2010 in 3 Questions | No Comments

September 11 this year was an especially reflective and busy time for Elements, as one of clients is Bonnie McEneaney, author of the wonderfully inspiring and touching, as well as New York Times best-selling book Messages: Signs, Visitations and Premonitions from Loved Ones Lost on 9/11. The book features the spiritual experiences 9/11 victims’ families have had in the nine years since the terrorist attacks.

We sat down with Bonnie to discuss the history of the book and some of her own personal experiences after having lost her husband, Eamon McEneaney, on that tragic day.

For an updated schedule of events, visit Harper Collins or join Messages on Facebook and Twitter. You can even share your own spiritual experience for future projects at MessagesBook.com.
