T A C K W A L L :: Imagine The Possibilities

Posted May 24th, 2013 in Tackwall | No Comments

This week we spent a lot of time with friend and fantastic photographer, Paul Johnson. We shot an array of items from print collateral to coasters, ice cream to iPads. Today, we’re sharing a recently wrapped up project that we just shot – the Connecticut Stone ThinStone Brochures. We were very excited to redesign and update these brochures, especially because within the last year we have redesigned their logo, kick-started a new social media campaign and prepare to launch a new website.

Let us know – what do you think of the brochures?

T A C K W A L L :: Its Not Just A…

We’re excited to share with you a project that we wrapped up earlier this spring for Expand International of America.

We took on the challenge of developing the concept for and designing the complete tradeshow booth graphics for Expand, a company that invents and manufactures high-end tradeshow booth and event display products.

During our kick-off meeting, it became clear to us that Expand’s target audience was not aware of the full spectrum of products and services they provide, such as original designs (did you know Expand invented the free-standing roll-up pop-up banner?), global shipping and storage, worldwide trade show support, inventory tracking and more.

Out of that meeting, Elements was able to pinpoint the goal for the booth. In a clear and striking way, we were able to highlight each unique message that unified all that Expand offers. The theme we developed and designed was “It’s Not Just A…” showcasing each one of their varied services.

For example “It’s Not Just a Light ” became “It’s Not Just a Light … When It Illuminates Your Message” – refers to their custom designed spotlights, illuminated light boxes and a plethora of beautifully crafted display lighting options.

The image above is just one of several larger pieces Elements completed for Expand International booth.

Our client had this to say at the conclusion of our tradeshow booth project:

“Working with Amy and the team at Elements was a simple and stress-free process. The entire staff was easy to work with and provided us with several fantastic concepts for our trade show booth.

As a team, we were not sure which direction to take our booth graphics as we had tried several times in the past with different messages and graphics but none of our solutions seemed to resonate or explain well what we do – leaving our potential customers confused.

When we first met with Elements, they listened first, asked a lot of questions and came back with the exact right message we needed to say but were unable to get there on our own. The rest of the project – from concepts to creative  through to completion – was a pleasure and we are delighted with the results – as were our customers. We have never had so much excitement and interaction around our booth. We look forward to our next project with their team,” Ed Fedorowich, Marketing Coordinator, Expand International of America, Inc.

Many companies have trouble getting started in the right direction or deciding what their true marketing message should be – and that can be frustrating, time consuming and expensive and worse – confusing for your intended audience. We are experts at uncovering the right direction and then making the complex clear to tie it all together with perfect balance of message and creative. Call us and let us show you how.

T A C K W A L L :: Postcard Sneak Peak

Each month the recipients of our Elements Postcards anxiously await to see the new design and message that will arrive in their mailbox {or so we hear}. We recently completed our 2013 postcard series and we’re very excited to show the new cards off to the world. But not just yet…

Instead I’m going to reveal a few select images from our upcoming postcard series in this blog post. The first is the image at the top of this post, which is not only adorable, but has a special meaning to Elements – that little lion cub is Amy’s son Cole. He fit perfectly into one of our fall postcards! We also used a beautiful image of Tracy’s daughter for one of our spring postcards and a rustic shot of 30 year old wine casks that I (Allyson) took in Italy.

Here’s another sneak peak at an image from a summer postcard as well as one of our favorite shots from the October card:

Are you excited for the reveal of our postcard series? Each month we debut our card as the cover image on our Facebook page. Keep an eye out for our May Postcard – it will be posted in just a few weeks!

T A C K W A L L :: A Tea-rrific New Website

Posted April 5th, 2013 in Tackwall | 2 Comments

We recently completed the design and development of the Tea•rric! Ice Cream® website and are proud to announce that the site has officially launched! Take a peek at the new website here :: www.tea-rrificicecream.com.

Tea•rrific! Ice Cream® is a Connecticut-based company that uses locally sourced ingredients to produce unique tea-infused flavors of ice cream. Currently, they have four delicious flavors – London Mist, Chunky London Mist, Ginger Matcha and Masala Chai and they are available in several restaurants, tea rooms, cafés and retail stores throughout Connecticut and the New York Metro area. I’m not a tea-drinker but this ice cream is amazing!

Tea•rrific! Ice Cream® was named the Best New Product in the Edibles category at the World Tea Expo East and most recently took first, second and third place for each flavor at the Connecticut Speciality Food Association in the Ice Cream category. Wonderful accomplishments for this new brand – we were excited to be involved in the website as well as the logo, packaging and much more!

What do you think of the newly launched site?

T A C K W A L L :: What’s On Our Wall This Week?

Posted January 25th, 2013 in Tackwall | 1 Comment

I think we all could use a little color to brighten up the end of this week! So, this week we’ve been working on everyone’s favorite… the Elements postcards! We start off by finding images that we like then we cut them out and spread them out across our conference room table. Next we group them into seasons, then into months and then start pairing up the images that work well together. We’ll then see what we’re missing, print out more images, and slowly but surely our vision starts to take shape. We’re in the beginning stages of the process now but I wanted to share our beautiful, colorful tackwall boards!

Here we tacked up all of our old postcards {to make sure we don’t reuse an image or two!}

What do you think so far?
