We’ve been hard at work on our 2012-2013 Elements postcard series over the last few weeks.
Although the finished products are always well-received and beautiful, it’s can be a daunting process to complete the project. With all of our client work taking priority, it’s often difficult to carve out the time to work on Elements related projects and marketing initiatives.
So how do we do, it you may be asking?
Well, for starters, we take some recommendations from Amy’s past blog post about focusing - (this post sparked interest from HOW Magazine and Amy has written an article for their online edition to be published soon!). In order to keep our focus, we’ve set aside our “Elements After Hours” marketing evenings where we get together directly after work and focus solely on our own projects. We’ve found that these well-structured (we have agendas that we update throughout the week as things pop-up), tightly focused (we discuss and agree as to what to concentrate on for that evening), weekly meetings enable us to stay on top of our own projects and move forward with exciting new initiatives. Otherwise, they would never get done.
These photos were taken during last weeks meeting, when we were deciding upon images for the fronts of our postcards. This was only Phase 1 of our postcard process, but we had fun and got a lot accomplished when we sat down and sorted the images. Within one hour, we started here…
…and we ended up here!
While scheduling time for your companies marketing initiatives isn’t always easy – it’s absolutely necessary. Pick a night, stay late, order a pizza, crank some tunes and get the ball rolling!
