Design in progress
SPRING FEVER ::
Yeah, we got it — bad. What a long winter we had in CT this year! Thankfully, all is in full bloom now and it's time to open the studio windows wide and let in some desperately needed fresh air. It’s also time for us to get outdoors and get moving. Recently,
we were asked by a few of our clients to design tech running shirts,
and it made us think about the races we’ve entered. It dawned on us that
it’s high time that we print our own “Team Elements” shirts for some
upcoming races. Look for giveaways on our blog very soon!
June Race Schedule Sunday, June 19: 31st Annual Branford Road Race (5 miles) Saturday, June 25: Stratton Faxon Fairfield Road Race (5k) ROLE REVERSAL ::
At the e-Technology Summit event this past February, the Hartford Business Journal asked Amy to speak as part of a social media panel. The day after that event, they invited Amy join them again, but this time in the role as moderator for a social media panel at the 2011 Connecticut Business Expo. Next Thursday, June 9, please join Amy and her fellow panelists for what is sure to be an informative and lively discussion about social media strategies. We promise you’ll walk away with some great ideas and insight. If you can’t make the event, look for a recap on our blog. HELLO AGAIN :: In case you missed them, below are links to three popular blog posts from recent months: Here's a Thought :: Thinking Ahead :: Here are a few compelling reasons to consider getting marketing projects completed during the summer months.
Here's a Thought :: Staying Curious :: Our first {hopefully of many!} creative challenges was to grab our studio camera and take shots of everyday details around us. Sometimes, looking at things through a different lens helps you see more clearly. WE'RE WRITING THE BOOK ON DESIGN. LITERALLY. :: This spring, Elements was honored to have been approached by Rockport Publishers, industry leader in international design publications to write a book tentatively titled Layout Practices for Graphic Designers, as part of an educational series for designers. This
series will be the go-to guide for designers as it outlines and details
the essential design skills needed to succeed in the design trade. The
books are project oriented but offer unique insights into strategy and
business when working in the real world with real clients. Look for its release in Fall 2011!

They delivered when they said they would; within budget and with a fantastic result. As a true testament to Elements, we are continually congratulated on our professional looking brochure and we continue to recommend their innovative and creative service to others.” – Mark Carlin, Vice President of Sales This month, Elements was honored at the Advertising Club of Connecticut's 57th Annual Awards Show, taking home a Bronze Pencil award for an identity system created for the
New England Emporium Eatery & Marketplace in Middletown, CT. Elements completed all marketing materials for the Emporium, including everything from the logo and menus to signage and uniforms, website, catering sales kits and many other pieces to complete the package. Our thanks go to our great partners at the Emporium who allowed us to design and communicate their vision to award-winning results.
