While I cannot remember where you tach, I know as a comp Nd lit teacher, we teach very differently and I remark at hose differences. omorrow, the first day of the semester, will find me presenting within the syllabus, the cautionary tales of language and use.yhough I focus on words to avoid, clarity, http://www.visualthesaurus.com and its use and a variety of tools they will use as their work their way into be owing better thinkers and communicators.

Thanks for this post. Great for probing thought and my teaching process: delving into the language of writers and communicators with the student’s focus on self and the processes they choose to employ.

Thanks for sharing… your students are lucky to have you. Not sure where your class is but if they are products of the New Haven public schools, I suspect there have not been too many places in their lives that they were encouraged to “think” in this way.
