You don’t know me but I came across your heartfelt post because someone posted it on their Facebook page. I was touched by your personal story and I thank you so much for sharing. I am so terribly sorry for all of your loss. You write beautifully and hopefully this message will transcend to all of those in mourning. It is a reminder to create and maintain memories …cherish time spent with loved ones, because as you mentioned, no one can take that away from you. Thank you again for sharing. You inspired and certainly reminded me of what is most important. (that, and you also reminded me that I was wearing mascara that day! I definitely shed my share of tears!)

Thank you Amy – for sharing with us. I read this through this tears this morning … and then had Tyler read it. The love you have for your family and the strength of character that you possess is just amazing. When I was reading this, I was thinking how generous and loving you are to share this with us – and how many lives you – and your beloved father will impact. You are extraordinary, admired and loved – i know that your father would be so proud of all that you have accomplished. Amy,
You have captured the essence of your relationship with your father.
As a contemporary of your father, I can relate to the importance of life experiences in contrast with the things that we used as part of that experience. Please concentrate on what was said and what was done, they are the only things that are worth holding close to your heart.

Amy, This is so Beautiful and so true it is not things we need it is eachother. I never met either of you parents but they sound AMAZING! You were BLESSED to have been able to call them Mom & Dad!
