The darkest days of the year are behind us as it stays lighter just a wee bit longer each day. Still, we New Englanders still have a whole lot of winter ahead. Here is just a sprinkling of some of my favorite things I love about winter. What are some of yours?
1. flannel shirts, chunky knit sweaters with sparkly statement necklaces // 2. forcing fragrant paperwhites to bloom in the middle of winter // 3. thick textured socks inside a dry pair of toasty boots // 4. stacked wool plaid blankets ready to take out the chill // 5. crock pot cooking {in this case, beef stew} // 6. lavendar hot cocoa with dollop of fresh whipped cream
