Tackwall :: Dague Popcorn, a Family Recipe

DaguePopcorn_elements_designHere is a fun project we recently completed for Dague Popcorn, family purveyors of the finest, savoriest popcorn you will ever experience. (It really is the best. And highly addicting. You have been warned!) You might remember this popcorn from our Mix It Up holiday gift.

Making delicious popcorn has always been a family passion and tradition in the Dague family. For generations, they’ve been making their popular popcorn and bringing it to local football games, selling it for school fundraisers and gifting it to those on their “nice” list during the holidays.

One unique and delightful touch the Dagues are known for are the reusable glass jars their popcorn is sold in. Not only does it keep their popcorn fresh longer, but their customers have begun to bring their glass jars back to the farmer’s market to have them refilled with one of their many flavors (they are always coming up with tempting new varieties).

Two of the Dague sisters – Mari and Barbara – finally made the jump from farmer’s markets to store shelves and they sought Elements out to help get them there.

Elements developed the Dague Popcorn brand identity / logo and packaging, which gives a nod to vintage typefaces of the past but is paired with a modern and clean sans serif font. The hand-drawn popcorn kernel lends just the right amount of whimsy, and the bright color palette stands out against the popcorn in the clear glass jars.

In the meantime, if you can’t wait to get your hands on some of this fabulous popcorn, you can pick some up in their Etsy shop. Don’t say I didn’t warn you though!
