The rose festival, which Moroccan’s call Kelaa-des-Mgouna, is a colorful celebration of the luring fragrance of the rose – one of the world’s most beloved and adorned flower. During the festival roses are displayed, paraded, and sold & bought in plenty. In the evening, entertainers from local tribes take to the stage in song, dance and even traditional snake charming. Each year a Miss Roses of El kelaa-des-Mgouna is crowned, and holds the title until the following festival. We hope you enjoy this collection of delicately hued images inspired by the festival.
