Noted :: Blogs I Like – Simone’s Edition

I’d be lying if I said alot of my downtime wasn’t spent checking the latest posts of my favorite blogs. They’re so great for inspiration and learning new things, I’m totally a junkie.

Here’s a few that I particularly like to catch up on:

designworklife: I’ve been reading this one since my days in art school. It’s really great for when you’re in a creative rut and I especially love when they showcase student work.

Apartment Therapy: I guess you could say I’m a bit of a self-proclaimed amateur interior design nut (whatever that means). I’m constantly rearranging my apartment and heading to flea markets to rescue a discarded piece of furniture and bring it back to life. AT showcases the homes of other readers, answers readers’ questions, shows Before and Afters and shares articles pertaining to home owners/renters.

Moment Junkie: When I’m not working at Elements I’m a wedding and lifestyle photographer. I tend to lean on the photojournalistic side and really gravitate towards moments and emotions rather than posed portraits. Each day they showcase a wedding photo that really encapsulates a moment and I’ve even had one of my images featured.

A Practical Wedding: Just recently I became engaged to my wonderful fiancee and we’ve jumped into full planning mode. Wedding planning can be incredibly stressful and sometimes wedding blogs can make that stress even worse. They tell you how you should decorate, who you should hire, how you should look, etc. and it can be pretty overwhelming. Luckily, A Practical Wedding is here to save the day, letting you know that you can have a great wedding without giving in to all the hype. But beware, it can be pretty addictive and you could be reading for hours!
